Crews Remove Chemical From Grounded Barge

SANDWICH, Mass. — Salvage crews successfully unloaded thousands of gallons of a potentially toxic chemical Tuesday from a barge that ran aground near the Cape Cod Canal on Thanksgiving Day, the Coast Guard said. The 370-foot barge was transporting truck-sized containers when it ran onto rocks in heavy seas.
