Science Teacher Joins Statewide AIDS Panel

Rita Bernard-Harris, a Beverly Hills science teacher, has been named to a new statewide AIDS advisory committee.
The 21-member panel, appointed by state Supt. of Public Education Bill Honig, includes health professionals, school officials, parents and teachers.
The committee will review materials developed for education about acquired immune deficiency syndrome and work with communities seeking to establish educational programs about the deadly disease.
