About six dozen Cuban prisoners who took part in the recent rioting at federal prisons are about to be freed from Lompoc Federal Penitentiary. Most of the 72 Cubans were transferred from the federal lockup in Oakdale, La., where prisoners staged an uprising and held the facility for days. The men to be freed make up about one-third of the Lompoc prison population and could be released as soon as early February, 1098085225Cubans are among about 125,000 people who fled their homeland in the Mariel boatlift of 1980.
