Clippers Acquire Greg Kite
Veteran center Greg Kite, placed on waivers by the Boston Celtics earlier this week, has been acquired by the Los Angeles Clippers, the NBA team announced today.
Kite, 26, averaged 1.5 points and 3.8 rebounds in 13 games with the Celtics before they waived him Monday. Kite was the Celtics’ first-round pick and the 21st player taken in the 1983 NBA draft. He was a member of NBA championship teams in the 1983-84 and 1985-86 seasons. To make room for Kite on their roster, the Clippers released rookie forward Norris Coleman.
