Moorpark’s Griffin Will Attend Ohio
Dana Griffin, a sophomore tailback who was the second-leading rusher at Moorpark College, has verbally committed to play football at Ohio University.
The 6-foot, 200-pound Griffin said he has been offered a full scholarship and expects to sign this week to play for the Division I school in Athens, Ohio.
Griffin rushed for 687 yards in 111 carries last season and was an honorable-mention selection on the All-Western State Conference team. Mike Daniels led Moorpark with 741 yards in 119 carries.
Griffin was sidelined for most of the first four games after spraining his left ankle in a preseason scrimmage. He rushed for 280 yards and scored 4 touchdowns against Santa Barbara to set the Moorpark single-game rushing record and tie the school scoring record (24 points).
