West Los Angeles : Water Pipe Replacement Begins
- Share via
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has begun replacing more than 7,000 feet of water pipes in an area bordered by Bundy Drive, Walnut Lane and Texas and Westgate avenues.
The new pipes will be between six and eight inches in diameter, contrasted with the four-inch pipes that have been in use in the area since 1924. The water district also plans to add six fire hydrants to the area.
The construction is scheduled to be completed by this fall, said water district spokeswoman Barbara Tomooka.
