Ike Turner was placed on five years’ probation and fined $500 Monday in Pasadena Superior Court after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine for sale and two additional felonies in connection with a 1985 arrest. The 55-year-old singer had been charged with conspiracy to sell cocaine to an undercover detective. Turner’s probation requires him to submit to periodic drug tests and police searches. Prosecutors said Turner attempted to sell 10 ounces of cocaine to an undercover detective for $16,000 at a North Hollywood condominium three years ago. This marks Turner’s second cocaine-related conviction in less than a week. On Friday, he was convicted of two felony charges for the transportation and possession of cocaine in connection with his arrest Aug. 19 in West Hollywood. He faces up to five years and eight months in prison when he returns for sentencing April 15, prosecutors said.
