Rep. Howard Has Heart Attack

WASHINGTON — Rep. James J. Howard (D-N.J.) was hospitalized in very critical condition today after suffering a heart attack while playing golf. Howard, 60, chairman of the House Public Works and Transportation Committee, collapsed while golfing at the Manor Country Club in Rockville, Md.
