Local News in Brief : Westminster : Drivers to Be Target of Sobriety Checkpoint
Anticipating a large number of parties as spring break ends this weekend, the California Highway Patrol and Westminster police will set up a sobriety checkpoint Saturday night on an undisclosed surface street to check for drunk drivers, CHP officials said.
The checkpoint will operate from 10 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. The CHP will not disclose the location of the checkpoint until just before it opens, said Leslie Hill, CHP spokeswoman.
More checkpoints are planned for summer, she said.
