SCIENCE/TECHNOLOGY : Wespercorp Completes Acquisition of Western Digital’s Selanar Unit
Santa Ana-based Wespercorp has completed its acquisition of Western Digital Corp.’s Selanar graphic terminal business.
Under the agreement, Wespercorp issued 475,000 shares of stock, with a current market value of about 50 cents per share, to Western Digital. Western Digital also has obtained warrants to purchase an additional 200,000 shares of Wespercorp stock for $1 per share.
The Selanar business formerly was part of Western Digital’s Faraday Electronics subsidiary. The Selanar line includes high-resolution graphics terminals compatible with Digital Equipment and Tektronix terminals.
