Murray Cook, general manager of the Cincinnati Reds, said he has finished his investigation of allegations that players misbehaved on a team flight last week and the matter has been resolved.
Newspaper reports said Reds’ players threw food and were rude to a flight attendant during a flight from San Francisco to Houston.
“We do not condone the type of behavior that was alleged, but for the most part, it was just that--alleged,” Cook said in a statement. “Both the Reds and Continental Airlines agree that reports of the incident were blown out of proportion.
“After our investigation, the matter has been resolved to the satisfaction of both parties.”
Cook declined to comment beyond his statement.
