Events in the news this week.
The 34th annual Memorial Day service will be held at 11 a.m. at the Harbor Lawn/Mount Olive Mortuary and Cemetery, 1625 Gisler Ave. in Costa Mesa. Speakers include Brig. Gen. Stephen M. Wyman, commander general of the 175th Medical Brigade of the California Army National Guard, and Lt. Col. Henry E. Front, chaplain of the California Military Reserve. The event is sponsored by several Orange County veterans organizations.
