PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland Trail Blazers have reached a tentative agreement with center Kevin Duckworth on an 8-year contract believed to worth more than $12 million.
Duckworth told The Oregonian Friday night that he and the team have agreed orally on the terms of the contract. “Hopefully, within the next few weeks, I’ll sign it,” Duckworth said.
If the deal is completed, it apparently would make the 7-foot, 275-pound Duckworth the highest-paid player on the team and one of the highest-paid players in the league.
