Three more bodies of the 166 men killed in the explosions and fire aboard a North Sea oil platform have been recovered, police in Aberdeen, Scotland, said. The Piper Alpha rig is still blazing from the July 6 disaster, hindering the search for 137 men still unaccounted for. In a parallel operation, firefighters led by Texan Paul (Red) Adair finally boarded the stricken platform after being beaten back by bad weather for days. Occidental Petroleum Corp., which owns the rig, said the men attached a hose to one of five blazing wellheads and began to pump in seawater to put out the fire.
