Local News in Brief : 3-Year-Old Girl Shot

A 3-year-old girl was shot Friday while riding her bicycle in the street in the 10300 block of South Firth Boulevard in Watts, police said.
The child received a “grazing gunshot wound to her back” and was taken to Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center, where she was treated and was expected to be released Friday night, said Los Angeles Police Lt. Dave Hepburn.
Hepburn would not release the child’s name.
He said police do not know if the shooting, which occurred at 5:20 p.m., was gang-related.
