Brazil’s Ayrton Senna and France’s Alain Prost of the McLaren Honda Formula One team came in first and second in the qualifying practice rounds for this weekend’s German Grand Prix at Hockenheim, West Germany.
Senna posted a time of 1 minute 44.596 seconds on the 4.22-mile speedway, with Prost following close behind in 1:44.873.
Their nearest rivals were the Ferraris of Gerhard Berger of Austria and Michele Alboreto of Italy, with Berger more than a second back.
