A ‘Different’ Leno?

I was relieved to read that comedian Jay Leno was “going to be different,” an entertainer who wouldn’t do the “sexist, raunchy stuff” (“Jay Leno, the People’s Comedian,” by Lawrence Christon, Aug. 25).
However, in the interview he proceeded to outline a series of highly improbable events that occurred to him as he innocently hitchhiked on Santa Monica Boulevard.
Jay, picking on gay men is no more acceptable than picking on women. Please make a note of this and do a little awareness-building.
