The first phase of the $60-million, 15-acre Sunset Pointe Business Center of the Larwin Investment Co., consisting of a 130-room Hampton Inn and a three-story, 60,000-square-foot office building, has opened in the Newhall area of Santa Clarita.
Eventually, the center, near the Lyons Avenue off-ramp of the Golden State (5) Freeway, will include three other office buildings, restaurants and retail facilities. The initial phase, an $8-million project, consists of the hotel and the office building, Sunset Pointe Plaza I, and occupies a 3-acre site at 25129 The Old Road.
The office building was designed by Nadel Partnership. Bernards Bros. Construction, San Fernando, is the general contractor; First Interstate Bank, the lender, and Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services is handling the leasing.
