A San Diego police officer was injured Tuesday morning in a scuffle with a suspected drug dealer, police reported.
Officer Michael Godfrey lost his balance and fell over an embankment while struggling with the suspect after responding to a call about narcotics activity in the 200 block of South Pardee Street in south San Diego, a police spokesman said.
Godfrey, who suffered fractures of both heels, was in good condition at UCSD Medical Center.
Officers searching the area where the struggle took place arrested Arturo Beltran Ceballos, 29, who was being held in County Jail on suspicion of resisting an officer.
