Beverly Hills : City Salary Revision Studied
The City Council voted to pay $84,290 to an Atlanta consulting firm to help revise the city’s 8-year-old classification and compensation system for municipal employees.
Under the agreement, Mercer/Slavin Inc., will have until mid-February to study the system and propose a new plan that will result in pay raises for some employees and salary cuts for others. Officials said one reason the firm was selected was the expertise of its co-director, Robert Slavin, who is a former Beverly Hills director of personnel.
Any changes recommended by the firm will be negotiated with groups representing city employees, officials said.
