Crofoot Named Head of KABC-TV
Terry Crofoot news director at KABC-TV Channel 7 for the past seven years, was named Friday to take over as president of the station.
He succeeds John C. Severino, who resigned Sept. 15 to become president of the Prime Ticket cable sports channel.
Crofoot has worked in television news since 1969, first at KGTV in San Diego and then in Los Angeles. He joined the Channel 2 news department as assignment manager in 1975, then moved to KABC in 1977 as director of news operations. He became executive producer of news programs in 1978 and was promoted to news director in July, 1981.
