1 Dead in El Sereno Fire

One man died in a fire that erupted in an El Sereno home early Saturday, authorities said. The blaze at 5037 E. Navarro St. was reported at 12:17 a.m., a Fire Department spokesman said, and was extinguished in nine minutes. Firefighters found the victim in a hallway of the house. He was not immediately identified.
