Japan Gives $1 Million to Peacekeeper Force

TOKYO — The Japanese government has donated $1 million to support international peacekeeping forces in the Middle East, a news report said Friday.
The money will back an 11-nation military presence along the Israel-Egypt border, Kyodo News Service said. The force was deployed in the Sinai peninsula in 1982 to monitor observance with the Israeli-Egyptian peace accord signed in 1979.
