Rescuing the Whales
The outpouring of concern for the stranded whales in the Arctic was heartwarming. It shows that many people genuinely value wildlife. How wonderful it would be if our nation could tap this reservoir of compassion, concern and generosity by providing good prenatal care for all mothers and babies in our nation.
There is something out of kilter when the richest and most powerful nation in the world consistently ranks highest in infant mortality among the industrialized nations.
