Bulgarian weightlifters restored some pride after an Olympic drugs scandal in Seoul as all three of their entries won gold medals in the 14-nation Silver Dragon tournament at Cardiff, Wales.

On the day’s final the event, Bulgaria’s two European silver medalists, Ivan Chakarov in the 90-kilogram class and Stefan Botev in the 110-kilo category, each won. On Saturday, 75-kilo lifter Alexander Varbanov won his division.
