Teachers Honored for Economics Instruction

Four San Diego area high school teachers have each received $500 for outstanding work in teaching economics to their students.
The winners are Mary Jean Del Campo of Point Loma High in international economics, Carol Guerrero of Bonita Vista High in comparative economics, Carl Stahnke of Serra High in general economic topics and Phil Knott of Helix High in special projects.
The awards were made by the Econ-Ed Foundation, a public nonprofit foundation that promotes economic teaching in San Diego and Imperial counties, with the monetary support of the Parker and Fleet foundations in San Diego.
