Helen Wagner, who plays Nancy McClosky on the CBS daytime soap opera “As the World Turns,” will be absent from her role for a few weeks while she recovers from a broken leg she sustained in a car accident. While Wagner is off the soap, actress Betty Low will be playing Nancy. Low’s first air date will be Dec. 9, and she will continue to play Wagner’s role on a week-to-week basis until Wagner, who is in the hospital, is ready to return.
