OK, in a heroic burst of effort you’ve finished your Christmas shopping ahead of the madding crowd. Now all you have to do is pack the goodies for the folks back East . . . and face another line in the SRO post office lobby. Maybe not. If you’re lucky, you live even nearer to one of those sweethearts blessed by many shoppers during this season--the Postal Service contract station. Most of the services of the main post office, but right there close to home. Maybe, even, a shorter line. Here’s a list of the contract stations in the county:
