Local News in Brief : Westminster : Bicyclist Struck by Truck Dies in Hospital

An 18 year-old bicyclist died Wednesday as a result of injuries suffered when he was hit by a pickup truck on busy Brookhurst Avenue in Westminster, authorities said.
A spokeswoman for UCI Medical Center said Martin Chavez Sandoval died at 9 a.m.
Westminster police said Chavez was struck by the truck Tuesday afternoon when he apparently darted across the street after another bicyclist.
Officer Tom Broderson said no charges were brought against the driver.
