Hostages in Egypt Mosque Flee

CAIRO — Ten Muslim extremists were arrested on charges of holding captive nearly 50 worshipers at Thursday evening prayers at a small mosque in the Suez Canal city of Ismailiya, about 75 miles east of the capital, police said today.
Ten other extremists avoided arrest by police waiting outside when they fled with captives who broke out through the mosque’s main gate after being held “for several hours” inside the mosque.
