Varied Views of ‘a Fine Restaurant’
I must correct an assumption that the Sherman Oaks Homeowners Assn. is against having a fine restaurant, as the Bistro is purported to be, in our neighborhood.
Our concerns are customers and employees parking on quiet residential streets that are adjacent to the Bistro site and the impossibility of policing any inappropriate conduct by them. We have therefore asked for reasonable time restrictions on the selling of alcohol and have requested that employee parking be strictly supervised.
The Bistro will not be the sole occupant of the Coldwater and Ventura shopping mall, and this intersection already has an “F” rating. Those of us who live close to this area have many legitimate concerns about the impact this entire development will have on our lives.
