‘thirtysomething’ News: Right Show, Wrong Channel

Steve Weinstein is incorrect in his assessment of the Channel 2 news team as being straight out of the series “thirtysomething.” (“Channel 2 Gambling on a Sporty News Team,” Calendar, Dec. 15.)
The Channel 4 news group is a far better example of that hit TV show, what with Keith Morrison, John Beard, Colleen Williams, Fritz Coleman and Fred Roggin. Coleman and Roggin even talk about the state of fatherhood in the ‘80s and their babies, when the babies aren’t getting air time. All that’s missing is a discussion about baby-sitters!
