The Southeastern Conference, led by top-ranked Tennessee, and the Atlantic Coast Conference placed nine teams in the AP women’s college basketball poll.
Five SEC teams are among the top 10--Tennessee, No. 3 Auburn, No. 4 Mississippi, No. 7 Georgia and No. 9 Louisiana State. The ACC representatives are No. 5 Maryland, No. 13 Virginia, No. 19 North Carolina State and No. 20 Duke.
Tennessee (10-0), which has been No. 1 since the preseason poll, received all 60 first-place votes.
