KTTV’s promotional campaign for its 3-D coverage of the 100th annual Tournament of Roses Parade showed small dividends in the Channel 11 ratings Tuesday, but not enough to challenge KTLA Channel 5’s long-time domination of the event. KTTV’s average audience between 8:15-10:30 a.m. Monday was 658,000 homes--up 130,000 from last year but far short of the 1.2 million homes that were tuned to KTLA. Trailing behind in the Rose Parade coverage was KNBC-TV Channel 4 with about 235,000 homes, KABC-TV Channel 7 with 202,000, KCBS-TV Channel 2 with 187,000 and KMEX Channel 34 with 96,000.
