Trans World Entertainment ended negotiations to acquire De Laurentiis Entertainment Group, which is in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Stephen R. Greenwald, DEG chairman and chief executive, said the company is now in active negotiations with other prospective purchasers and management is “confident that an arrangement beneficial to all parties can and will be promptly concluded.”
