A city school bus with 23 children on board collided with a car in City Heights Wednesday afternoon, firefighters said.
The driver of the car, Caryn Fries, 25, of El Centro was taken to Villa View hospital with minor head injuries, authorities said.
Although a few children, ages 12 to 14, complained of minor injuries, none was hospitalized, firefighter Larry Stewart said.
Bus driver Dora Vidrio escaped injury in the accident, which occurred about 3:30 p.m. at Violet Street and Pepper Drive.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
