San Jose’s controversial disc jockey Perry Stone, who was suspended for his offensive treatment of two Girl Scout Brownies on his radio show March 10 and insulting another girl the same day, has now been fired by KSJO-FM. Stone, 30, a self-described “shock jock,” has been criticized in the past for his attacks on minorities, women and the disabled both at KSJO and other stations. What Perry said to the unidentified girl was not disclosed, but management said it exposed the station to possible liability in a lawsuit. Stone has recorded a retraction and its broadcast will be the last time he is heard on the station.
