Orbison Video

Re Chris Willman’s “Living on Video,” March 12, in which he reviews videos concerning singers who have died: I am a great Roy Orbison fan who also happens to be trained and experienced in video production.
Although I have not seen the “End of the Line” video for the Traveling Wilburys, I think that the use of Orbison’s guitar as a substitute for the deceased performer is about as tasteful as animating Elvis Presley’s pants.
There are many cutaway devices which could’ve been used that would’ve yielded more effective results, without making light of a great loss to the music world.
