Ducommun: The troubled Carson aerospace company lost $19.4 milion for all of 1988, compared to a $19.1-million loss for 1987. The company said that sales from its continuing operations declined 6% to $59.8 million in 1988. The company blamed its loss on inventory writedowns and cost overruns in two of its aerospace units and a $3.1-million loss related to the disposal of its cable assembly business. The company also said it lost $9.8 million on sales of $13.7 million in the fourth quarter of 1988, compared to a loss of $21.5 million on sales of $14.9 million in the fourth of 1987.
