300-Foot Plunge Kills Simi Freeway Driver
A motorist plunged to his death early Saturday morning while driving east on the Simi Valley Freeway near Topanga Canyon Boulevard, Los Angeles police said.
They said the car drifted off the road, dropped 300 feet to the bottom of the embankment, and caught fire. The driver, a man in his early 40s, police said, died at the scene of the accident, which occurred at 2 a.m. He carried no identification.
