Westwood : Snyder Named to Board
Ryan Snyder, a transportation consultant who ran for the 5th District seat on the Los Angeles City Council last month, has been appointed to the Westwood Design Review Board. Snyder was named to the post by Councilman Zev Yaroslavsky, who defeated him in the election.
Yaroslavsky said Snyder impressed him with his understanding of neighborhood and regional problems.
The review board was established last year to ensure that future development in the Westwood Community Plan area is compatible with the plan.
Snyder, 34, a North Westwood Village resident, is the leading advocate of the West L.A. Veloway, a proposed elevated bikeway into UCLA and Westwood.
