Gloria Williams
What means more to our elected city and county prosecutors, performing the job or grandstanding for votes and individual glory?
Where were James Hahn or Ira Reiner when the announcement was made that charges were dismissed against Gloria Williams for “criminal parenting”?
These fellows seem to never miss a photo opportunity or press conference that announces some half-baked idea, but they always seem to send out some underling to inform us of its impracticality (or probable unconstitutionality).
I will sleep a lot better now that I know “10 three-hour parenting classes” given at a community recreation center can vitiate all the evidence and accusations put forth through the media at the time of Williams’ arrest.
That both the city attorney and district attorney feel they can bring charges and fully try their supposed cases in the press before conducting a complete investigation is as insulting to me as their cowardice in having their subordinates make the “bad news statements” while they keep showing up for the “good news” ones.
