Boeing Co.: The Seattle-based aircraft manufacturer’s second-quarter earnings rose 22% to $195 million. Sales edged up 6% to $5 billion. The company, which is having another record year in commercial airplane orders, cited increased sales volume, lower levels of research development and other new business income.
