A San Diego man was killed Thursday when he lost control of his motorcycle on Sunrise Highway, a coroner’s deputy said.
Frank Edward Kinkelaar, 44, of the 4500 block of 39th Street, died when his motorcycle slid out of control 5 1/2 miles north of Interstate 8 at 8 a.m., Deputy Coroner Ken Bell said.
Kinkelaar was catapulted down a 30-foot embankment when his motorcycle crashed, said California Highway Patrol spokesman Lloyd Needham. Kinkelaar was traveling too fast, Needham added.
