Fullerton Angels Win American Legion Event
The Fullerton Angels hit three home runs in defeating Upland, 12-2, in the championship game of the American Legion Area 5 tournament Sunday at Memorial Park in Upland.
Matt Carter had a three-run homer in the first inning to give Fullerton an early lead. Shane Borowski and Darby Carmichael also homered.
Fullerton advances to the state tournament, which begins Saturday in Yountville. The winner advances to the regionals.
