An attorney for cyclist Greg LeMond said that the rider is “90% certain” to sign a contract with the U.S. team 7-Eleven within the next two weeks.
“Terms should be worked out by next week,” Nathan Jenkins said from his Reno office. “There isn’t a signature on anything, but it’s close. We should have an agreement in principle.”
LeMond won the Tour de France in dramatic fashion last month and promptly announced his interest in joining a U.S. cycling team. He left ADR, his Belgian team, last week.
