GARDEN GROVE : Parade to Highlight 7th Korean Festival

The county’s Korean community is celebrating its heritage with a three-day Korean Festival beginning at noon today in Garden Grove.
The event, in its seventh year, is centered in the Garden Square shopping area at 9800 Garden Grove Blvd. It features talent contests, a carnival, martial arts, cultural exhibits and sports.
The highlight will be a parade Saturday along Garden Grove Boulevard beginning at 3 p.m.
Sponsors of the event are the Korean Chamber of Commerce of Orange County, the Central Daily News and Korean Television Enterprises Ltd.
Special guests of the festival, and featured in the parade, will be 14 students and their two chaperones, who are visiting Garden Grove from Anyang, Garden Grove’s sister city, which is about nine miles southwest of Seoul in South Korea.
KOREAN FESTIVAL AND PARADE
The county’s Korean community begins a three-day celebration of its heritage at noon today in the Koreatown section of Garden Grove. Festival continues at noon Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday.
