FHP International Corp.: The Fountain Valley firm’s first-quarter fiscal 1990 profit jumped 67% to $6.78 million. Revenue climbed 38% to $210.04 million. The health-care provider said the growth in revenue and earnings was achieved by increased membership, overall cost containment, favorable hospital utilization and higher interest income.
