San Francisco 49er defensive back Jeff Fuller...
San Francisco 49er defensive back Jeff Fuller isn’t injured as seriously as doctors had feared, but it is uncertain whether he will be able to play again.
Fuller was originally diagnosed as having suffered multiple neck fractures and damaged nerves in Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots, but it has since been determined that he chipped three vertebrae in his neck, the team said.
Fuller has been moved from the intensive care unit at Stanford University Hospital, where he has regained some feeling in his right arm.
