Japanese Buy Stake in Houston Complex:: A Japanese group, headed by one of Japan’s most famous developers, Taikichiro Mori, said it would buy 85% of the four-building Four Oaks Place complex in partnership with U.S. real estate interests for $300 million. The complex includes the 12-story Interfin Building, the 25-story Cigna Tower, the 30-story Union Texas Petroleum Center and the 25-story First Interstate Tower. The deal followed Tuesday’s announcement that another Japanese firm was buying a stake in Rockefeller Center in New York.
